Girdwood Forest Fair ~ Music & Entertainment

Since it’s beginning, the Forest Fair has always tried to bring together some of the finest musicians and entertainers in Alaska.

Like the craft booths, the focus has always been on original works and bringing a variety of musical styles to the stage, "something for everyone". Girdwood has long been an ardent supporter as well as successful breeding ground for musicians and entertainers. Some of Alaska’s most popular bands got there start and have their biggest success playing in Girdwood, and all want to play the Forest Fair.

The roster fills quickly and the music director has the difficult task of deciding who makes each years rotation. What started with one small stage with 6 acts per day, in the middle of the craft booths, grew into two stages with 17 acts per day. There are 10 at the Marlow Pavilion, or the main stage, with Alaska’s biggest most popular bands, and 7 on the north stage, a more intimate setting on the sand, featuring folk soloists, duo’s and trio’s, and the new "up and coming" bands.

If you are interested in playing on one of these stages please contact please send a DEMO CD to:
