All booths need to be set-up by 10pm Thursday, June 30.

We do not allow cars, buses, vans, trailers or campers of any type to be used for booths. Make your booth fit within the woodsy environment. The booth operator is responsible for setting up and taking down the booth. Be prepared to work around tree roots -- NO nails in trees.

Craft Guidelines

The application requires craft vendors to complete a full description of all types of crafts to be sold - including people sharing the booth space. For people sharing spaces, vendor names must be provided on the application.

All work must be hand-crafted by the artist! No pre-manufactured or store bought items allowed. All applicants must submit photos of everything sold in the booth, depicting samples of their crafts. The photos will be used to verify hand-crafted items for booth requests and booth assignments.  We do not put like vendors side by side.

NO T-SHIRTS ACCEPTED! NO pre-screened or machine printed items allowed.  Other hand made or hand dyed clothing items are accepted.  We have grandfathered-in and limited the number of t-shirt, tye dye and batik vendors to allow for more unique items.

The Forest Fair committee reserves the right to ask applicants to leave if items for sale do not honor the request for HAND-CRAFTED items only.

The Forest Fair Committee reserves the right to limit the number of vendors selling specialty items/services if there already are several others selling the same or similar product.

The Forest Fair Committee will not accept fortune telling such as palm reading or tarot card readings due to our rule on “No Religion”.

Food Guidelines

All food vendors must send the application, checks or money orders, and COMPLETE menu for space reservation. Variety and promptness (we accept new vendors by item and postmark on complete application) can assist in securing an open spot. There are limited booth spaces for food vendors. No "Carnival Food" and pre-packaged food will be limited to items such as drinks and chips.

Novel, unusual, homemade and exotic foods are in keeping with the theme of the Forest Fair.  Minimal or no duplications will be granted.

A health permit must be obtained through the Municipality of Anchorage in order to serve food.  Please refer to their website, www.muni.org, under Environmental Services Food Safety Program.

NEW FOR 2011:  ALL food vendors will be required to obtain a certificate of General Liability Insurance.  We use K & K Insurance for the fair and they have temporary policies available for purchase.

Re-NEW FOR 2011:  Forest Fair is requesting that all food vendors to purchase recycled, compostable or recyclable containers, plates, napkins, bags etc.  We will be recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans.  NO Glass or Styrofoam allowed.  PLEASE MINIMIZE THE MICRO TRASH.   Compliance will be evaluated at the fair.

Food Booths are the #1 contributor of the garbage problem, please do your share in cleaning up. ALL garbage from food booths must be dumped in the dumpsters provided (NOT in the painted garbage cans!) Please BREAKDOWN all cardboard and place IN the recycling dumpster - NOT NEXT TO IT for us to clean up.

Space Assignment

All new booths are granted on a "First Come – First Served" basis based on the postmark date on the completed application.  In order to be accepted or assigned, you must submit an application.  Special requests for spaces are also granted on this basis. All requirements must be met and approved by Forest Fair Committee.

If returning vendors would like the same space as the previous year, you must return your application by the early vendor deadline – May 2 – or you may be issued a different space.

Returning Vendors - Vendors from the previous year event requesting their same space will be assigned first.

Returning Vendors requesting different space - Vendors from previous years events requesting a change in location, will be granted after returning vendors are assigned.

New Vendors - New vendors will be assigned booth spaces based on availability.  The main loop fills up quickly, so early applications will be assigned first.
